Innovation is defined simply as a “new idea, device, or method.” The Galley is all three.

Authorized Dealer for Savannah & Hilton Head

MUCH MORE THAN A SINK!

Inspired by a desire to find solutions to problems that had existed for years in the way kitchens worked, (or didn’t work), The Galley was invented by an award-winning kitchen designer whose vision was to create a central workstation hub where every task in his kitchen could be accomplished. He put the very first Galley in his own home. Today, the Galley has grown to be an entire line of super-functional, smart and stylish workstations where one can prep, cook, serve, entertain, and clean-up, all in one convenient place.

What's Old is New Again!

The Idea of a generously sized sink is not new.
The Galley™ has taken this vintage concept
to a whole new level by incorporating

R. Scott Anderson
Owner, President and CEO

Scott grew up in Oklahoma City, OK and began his business career with The Hertz Corporation, where he served in various positions until joining Thrifty Car Rental in 1987. He served in many capacities with increasing responsibilities throughout his 24-year career with Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group. In 2008, he was appointed to the number-two position in the company, leading all operations, franchising, revenue management, sales and marketing, and many other key areas of the publicly-traded company, (DTG). He partnered with the CEO to lead a significant turnaround. The team produced dramatic improvements in the business and in the financial results of the company. From the time they took over in 2008, through 2011, they led the company from a stock price of less than $1 per share, to $87.50 per share at the time of the sale of the company to Hertz.

After leaving DTG, Scott and his wife Dena wanted to stay in the Tulsa, OK area to be close to their kids and grandkids. He founded and now leads an investment company, Anderson Capital Partners, LLC, that primarily specializes in acquisitions. Their approach is to focus on companies with excellent products, strong reputations, and a history of positive performance. They invest in the right people and then partner with them, bringing a broad array of expertise and support to bear on the business.

In the process of evaluating and acquiring businesses in and around the Northeastern, OK area, Scott was introduced to Roger Shollmier, inventor of the Galley. Scott was so impressed with the product and the way it literally changes the way people think about and use their kitchens that, in March of 2014, Anderson Capital Partners acquired The Galley, LLC. Scott currently functions as its Owner, President and CEO.

Roger Shollmier
Inventor & Chief Designer

Roger was raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where he was the youngest of five boys.

After working for Jenn-Air as a sales rep early in his career, he moved to Tulsa in 1976, where he established Kitchen Ideas, a company specializing in custom kitchen design. Since then, Roger has been a highly successful kitchen designer. His primary focus has always been about how a client’s kitchen will function for their family. Roger’s uncanny knack for developing the ‘next thing in kitchens’ has won the attention of numerous national magazines throughout the years. On several occasions, Better Homes & Gardens dubbed him, “The Frugal Kitchen Guru”. Roger’s own kitchen recently won the top spot as, “#1 Most Bodacious Kitchen In America” by HGTV’s Fine Living Network.

Roger says his creation of The Galley Workstation has “completed” his view of the perfect kitchen design, one that brings families and friends together around a central “hub” focal point in the kitchen. Originally just an idea he thought he would try out in his own kitchen, The Galley quickly gained the attention of his clients and friends, who begged Roger to incorporate one into their kitchens. Now, just three years later, The Galley has won awards from some of the most coveted authorities in the kitchen industry. He incorporates a Galley Workstation in virtually every kitchen he and his designers create. In 2013, Roger sold The Galley, LLC to Anderson Capital Partners but remained on as a shareholder. Given his passion for The Galley, he wanted to be involved in the business full-time going forward.
